How to process an order using RETAIN

Learn what steps to take when processing an order.

RECEIVING + PROCESSING AN ORDER

  1. RETAIN admins will be notified of a new order via email Screen Shot 2024-09-18 at 11.25.09 AM
  2. Click 'View Order' button to login to RETAIN 
  3. On the order detail screen click the 'Update Order Status' in the top right corner 
  4. Use the dropdown menu to change the status from 'Open' to 'Processing' > Click SaveScreen Shot 2024-09-18 at 11.30.41 AM
  5. Navigate to the 'Doctor's Information' panel on the right side and click on the .STL file(s) to download them

NOTE: The STL files will be downloaded to your computer's downloads folder.

FULFILLING THE ORDER IN LAB SOFTWARE

  1. Copy the patient/order information from the patient's order details screen > paste/enter the information into your lab software
  2. Digitally modify .STL file(s), if needed. 

This includes removing bonded retainers, removing braces or attachments, and adding bite turbos. 

3.   Manufacture retainer(s)

4.   Pack + Ship the retainer(s)

COMPLETING AN ORDER IN RETAIN (AFTER RETAINERS SHIPPED)

  1. Once the retainers have been shipped, log into RETAIN
  2. On the order detail screen click the 'Update Order Status' in the top right corner 
  3. Use the drop menu to change the order status from 'Processing' to 'Shipped' > Enter the tracking number > Click Save

NOTE: This will trigger an email to the patient notifying their retainers have shipped. 

4.    If scans were adjusted due to adding bite turbos, follow this step. If not, continue to next step.

  • Navigate to the 'Patient Information' section of the order details screen
  • Click on the patient's hyperlinked name
  • Once on the patient's profile screen, click the 'Update Patient Scans' button
  • Upload new .STL files
  • Click Save

NOTE: The 'Update Patient Scans' button will be grayed out if the order status is in 'Processing'

5. Once the package is delivered, use the dropdown menu in the orders detail screen to change the status to 'Delivered'
