How to add or delete account owners & viewers

Learn how to add new users to a RETAIN account and set their roles.

Within your account, you have the ability to add additional people. An example for when this would be useful is if you need to add another parents and give them access to a child's account. 

ADD A USER(S)

1. Navigate to Account Settings on left side menu
2. Scroll to Account Owners & Viewers section
3. Click + Invite Others
4. Enter the email address of the new user
5. Select Role from dropdown menu
6. Click Save located at the bottom of the Account Settings screen

Once you add your new user, they will receive an email from RETAIN with a link to set up their account.

ACTIVATING YOUR ACCOUNT USING LINK

1. Navigate to your inbox and search for an email from RETAIN with the subject Your invited to RETAIN
2. Click 'Login Now' button within the email
   
   
3. Go through guided steps to complete account creation
   1. Create a password
   2. Tell us about yourself  
      1. Enter first name
      2. Enter last name 
      3. Enter phone number

REMOVE OR DELETE USERS

1. Navigate to Account Settings on left side menu
2. Scroll to Users & Admins section
3. Click the trash can icon next to the user you'd like to remove
4. Confirm removal of the user by clicking 'Remove Access' on pop-up message
   
   
5. Click Save located at the bottom of the Account Settings screen

MANAGE ROLES

1. Navigate to Account Settings on left side menu
2. Scroll to Users & Admins section
3. Click the dropdown menu under the role column of the user you'd like to update
4. Select new role 
5. Click Save located at the bottom of the Account Settings screen

AVAILABLE USER ROLES & PERMISSIONS 

There are currently the following user roles: 

• Owner
• Admin 
• Viewer 

The following is an overview of the account permissions and access, as well as potential restrictions inside the platform. Depending on your role, the view and access to edit information may look different. 

OWNERS

An account can only have 1 owner. See the account owner permissions below.

ADMIN

See the account permissions for an admin below.

VIEWER

See the account permissions for a viewer below.
