Learn how to add a patient to your RETAIN account.
To utilize RETAIN's services, patients must be added by a participating practice. You can add a patient from your Dashboard or from the Patients screen.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN: The STL file will be needed at the time the patient is created so it is advised to have their file downloaded.
ADDING A PATIENT
- Navigate to the Dashboard or Patients screen
- Click the 'Add New Patient' button located in the top right corner
- Enter Patient Information
- First Name
- Last Name
- Date of Birth (mm/dd/yyyy)
- Shipping Address
4. Enter Retainer Information
Rx Recommendation section

- Select option for Arches Included
- Select option under Digitally Remove Bonded Retainer
- Select option under Digitally Remove Braces or Attachments
- Select option under Digitally Add Bite Turbos (upper arch only)
Additional Notes section

- Input comments or notes
- Select frequency
The frequency selection is your recommended frequency for the patient to replace their retainer. The patient will see your recommendation upon signing up, but, has the freedom to change the frequency.
Scan Details section

- Upload STL file(s) for each arch

- Enter email address for account owner
- Select role
You can invite multiple parties to gain access to the patient's account by clicking '+ invite others'.

- Select who is paying for the first retainer (patient or practice)
- Select where the first retainer should be shipped (patient's address or practice's address)
If the patient is selected to pay, the patient will be charged when they sign up and the retainers will be shipped to their address
If the practice is selected to pay, the practice will be charged when the patient is added and the retainers will be shipped to the practice
7. Review the information on the confirmation screen

- Click Confirm if everything looks accurate
Once the steps above have been completed, tell the patient to check their email for their RETAIN subscription invitation.
During the patient's account set up process, they will be able to choose their subscription frequency (monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, annually) or the on demand option.
